Stand and Deliver: Presentation Skills Training

Most people don't like public speaking - best man, key note speech, addressing the troops at away-days, pitching to clients, etc. Unfortunately, however, we all have to and more often than we once did.

Standing up in front of a load of people is a cracking opportunity to let your clients and your team see what you're about: what you can do and how you can help make a difference. Yet time and time again presentations are essentially an adult reading out loud to a room full of grown-ups. How many times have you come round from having a PowerPoint presentation imposed on you and declared: "Wow that was superb: Is it available on DVD?" So, if you're going to get on your feet then you might as well be good. Learning to be good at this is easy as long as you know the basics, appreciate the fundamentals, trust in your own creativity and get some practice in. The more you do the better you get.

What the course covers:
Why being good at it matters
Preparation: the what, the why, to whom, the when and
the where = the how
Get creative
Stand and deliver: presence, posture and pitch
Make it personal - being remembered
It's always about the audience
PowerPoint: an aide not a crutch

What your people will know once they have been on it:
How to put together a presentation
The importance of the audience
How to think up creative ideas
How to be more confident
What they can do to be remembered
How to use what they have already - their voice and body
How to live with less PowerPoint in their lives
